Who Will Be Named Laurel Park Landlord of the Year??
In February 2007, the Laurel Park Neighborhood Association will announce the Laurel Park Landlord of the Year. The recipient landlord will receive an award certificate and the landlord and the property will also be featured in a cover story in the February 2007 Laurel Park News.
LPNA is currently seeking nominations of landlords from neighborhood residents (particularly renters). Nominations should be made in writing and can be submitted in person to an LPNA Board Member, sent by mail to P.O. Box 1485, Sarasota, Fl 34236, or sent via email to Chris@VisaAmerica.com. When making a nomination, please explain why the landlord should be considered. The deadline for submission of nominations is Tuesday, November 14, 2006.
At the November LPNA Board Meeting, the LPNA Board will select five finalists from the nominees. Information about the finalists and their properties will be included in the November 2006 Laurel Park News. Readers will be invited to submit comments on the nominated landlords and properties.
To determine the Laurel Park Landlord of the Year, the LPNA Board will consider two factors equally:
- The contribution that the property makes to the neighborhood (for example, the appearance of the property, lack of crime, historic preservation, affordability, etc.) as determined by the LPNA Board.
- Written comments from the renters and other neighborhood residents.
The Laurel Park Landlord of the Year will be selected by the LPNA Board at the January 2007 LPNA Board Meeting. The recipient landlord will be notified in writing and the award will be announced in the February 2007 Laurel Park News.
